         Fuzz

Tested the shocks out today on my 60 mile round trip to work, and Im well pleased, no more bouncing around like a loon. There is a stretch of road on my way home that has a sort of double dip, after almost getting air there once because of the bounce I always ease off a bit, but tonight kept it full whack and the bike just hugged the road.
They really are worth every penny, thanks again fella

Mike

Hi Fuzz

I fitted the shocks & the Halogen Headlight bulb & both are amazing.

I couldnt believe the improvement.

The shocks are SO good that I have removed them , keeping them for a future project.

P.s Anyone who doesnt buy these shocks needs their heads looking at !!!

Cheers

Paul

Fitted the shocks I got from fuzz on friday!,

what a difference! it feels like a bigger bike!

I wish I had fitted them before I went to france Great stuff

Yep i totally agree, the best few quid i have ever spent on my cub without doubt

All I can say is - night and day - even compared to my other C90 that doesn't have knackered shocks!!

Proper spring rate for European size people, preload adjustment that works and proper compression and rebound damping.

 Love them!

I put one of these in last winter and the difference is very worthwhile.

If you are riding on unlit roads on dark nights put one of these in.

Cub C90 Shock review

This review by Danny K , from a well known message board @ www.cub90.co.uk

I Can't recommend Cubbitz shocks highly enough. They're ace!But best of all they're adjustable. Beforehand, I had trawled the Internet, spoke to suppliers willing to make their shocks adjustable as a one-off for me - all of them far, far, more expensive than Cubbitz.I bought them after glowing reports from the message board @Cub90,but expected them to be inferior to the expensive, (as in very), shocks I'd found on the Internet. The only shocks comparable to Cubbitz’s adjustables in price were single fit non-adjustables, in other words, take-it-or-leave-it shocks. I found after fitting Cubbitzz's adjustables that for once, cheapest IS the best, as they solved every complaint I had. Serously I don't think Cubbitz charges enough.

Always meant to post a mini review of them on here, never got round to it; so they never knew if I was happy or not with them.
Now's my chance:

When I first took ownership of my Cub, I found my manufacturer's original shocks not soft, but hard and 'bangy, bumpy', (they were still new originals), in other words the ride was 'orrible!
Increasing the air pressure in the tyres after advice received from members on the messageboard reduced the complaints by 60%. Until I'd increased the air pressure over and above the manual guidelines I was beginning to become disenchanted with the Cub.But fitting the modern adjustable shocks changed all that, in fact the phrase 'tears of joy' is apt here. I spent weeks riding two or three days on each setting.
Each time I thought the new setting was preferable to the previous, until I rode my way through them all and had to start all over again as I couldn't remember which was the MOST comfortable - They ALL were in their own way.

There wasn't one setting that wasn't ten times superior compared to the originals.
I think I should have tested the Cub with a pillion / and or heavy luggage to find nirvana, but the settings are each so comfortable, but different, that there just has to be a setting for virtually every rider and their preferred riding style.

A bonus of the adjustable shocks is the speed increase in ground covered because of a more efficient ride.
During testing I rode them over the same patch of bad road conditions, and shocked myself at the speed I was now comfortably travelling at, compared to the bad old days. Like gaining free power for the bike.
Next will be modern tyres - I'm still riding on the originals.

Remember, adjustable shocks were never part of the design remit on original Cubs.
So, fitting 21st century technology shocks does transform the energy transfer between tyre and road beyond what the original engineers would have ever thought possible - or affordable. And the good news is, no one but an expert can tell they're an aftermarket fitting. The shroud is universal black , so it matches all colour schemes - and the bike still retains that original classic look. Something I'm keen to keep no matter what accessories for the Cub catch my eye in the future.
